As a nation recently split into the haves and have nots by a Conservative Government in office. This Government which has (or in the case of pensioners and poorer workers who earn less that £60,000 per annum) or is about to have their surplus cash in their pockets and savings removed from their ownership as the same Conservatives tentacles hook into higher taxes for at least an additional 1.6m old folk and tax capped workers while at the same time forcing up local taxation from Councils through their unique lack of vision regarding the wealth of the nation and money management.
The common sense of the Conservatives has drifted so far into oblivion that they were forced to create a post of Minister for Common sense in 2023, Esther Mcvey was offered the post but the latest debacle that will damage ordinary people's lives is that the lack of common sense has driven farmers into slashing back on food growing that will bring an economic famine to most families doorsteps with the Reach group PLC warning families to expect the worst this autumn.
Using the headline “SPUD GROWERS MAY JACKET IN” Reach group PLC have informed readers to expect massive price rises in everyday veg, food that right through the economic crisis brought about by the same Conservatives have been the staple relied upon to help many families survive.
This Government removed all help to farmers during 2019 driving up problems for growers and their families who like UK residents rely on our farmers growing and harvesting enough food to feed the nation, the complete lack of common sense from Conservatives who are only interested in the profit end of trade shows how far the protection of rural england has slipped over the last 13 years.
Forcing up prices through arrogance and lack of investment in agriculture and horticulture linked with policies that stop farmers bring in expert labour to harvest their crops through hysteria and xenophobia shows how far common sense has slipped away from this Government's viewpoint when it come to supporting the nations larder and rural lifestyles.
